New Student Orientation

Once you have been accepted and have your MySeminoleState account, your next step is to take the New Student Orientation.

Many of today's high-paying and in-demand careers do not require a college degree. In fact, some of the hottest jobs in Orlando and the Southeast are available after completing a comprehensive certificate training program. These programs blend classroom instruction and practical, real-world training, often in the actual work environment.

Certificates are a great option for those looking for a fast-track approach to a new career or way to specialize in an existing career. In many cases, you can also apply credits from the certificate toward an Associate in Science (A.S.) or bachelor's degree at Seminole State.

Here's a sample of some of the career options available:

    • Accounting specialist
    • Administrative assistant
    • Automotive technician
    • Childcare center manager
    • Correctional officer
    • Designer/draftsman
    • Electrician
    • Entrepreneur
    • Firefighter
    • Graphic designer
    • IT support specialist
    • Kitchen and bath designer
    • Law enforcement officer
    • Medical record coder
    • Pharmacy technician
    • Welder
