This course addresses the special needs for the rapidly growing elderly population. Students will study issues concerning mobility, loss of hearing, loss of visual acuity, impaired memory and cognitive functions and develop design solutions. Universal design and barrier-free design will be incorporated into lectures and studio projects. This course is a combination of lecture and studio experiences.
Prerequisites: IND 1935C, IND 2016 and IND 2221 or equivalent or department permission.
