The purpose of this course is to provide students the opportunity to examine our criminal and civil justice systems. The content should include, but not be limited to, the following: the need for law, the basis for our legal system, cause and effects of crime, consumer fraud and consumer protection, legal and social consequences of drugs and the individual's role in maintaining a just society within the law.
