AHS1200500 Advanced Algebra with Financial Applications

This course combines algebraic and graphical approaches with practical business and personal finance applications. Students will explore algebraic thinking patterns and functions in a financial context. Students will be actively involved in applying mathematical ideas to their everyday lives. Topics include the stock market, personal banking, business structure, consumer credit, automobile ownership, employment basics, income taxes, independent living and retirement planning and budgeting.

Prerequisites: AHS 1200310 or AHS 1200370 and AHS 1200380 and AHS 1206310 with a grade of "C" or higher.
