Rapid Skills Program

As people look for ways to improve their skills or even change career paths, Seminole State has joined the Florida Department of Education's workforce campaign for rapid credentialing by offering several certificates for students to earn college credentials and get on track for career success in 18 weeks or less. In high-demand areas such as project management, public safety, graphic design, information technology and  business, students can build upon skills they already have to better prepare them for a new industry and career.


To participate in the Rapid Skills program, you must:

  • be unemployed, furloughed or have reduced hours due to COVID-19
  • Submit a 2020-21 FAFSA
  • Be a new or current Seminole State student in an associate degree or certificate program
  • Submit an interest form by April 30

The cost of tuition, fees, books and industry certifications is covered for students who qualify to participate in the Rapid Skills program. Certificate must be earned Summer Term 2021 *

Program Options

The Rapid Skills program is designed to enable students to complete a workforce certificate. Credits earned through a certificate program can be applied to an associate or bachelor's degree. Students in the program may choose from the following short-term certificates for Summer Term:

**For Building Construction Technology, students must have already completed two of the six courses.
