Non-Traditional Student Scholarships

In partnership with the Foundation for Seminole State College and generous donors and community partners, Seminole State College offers the Non-Traditional Student Scholarship and the Celebrate the Wins Scholarship.

Non-Traditional Student Scholarship

Student must:

  • Be age 25 or older.
  • Demonstrate financial need based on the FAFSA form.
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
  • Be pursuing an Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree or Associate in Science. (A.S.) degree from Seminole State College.

Award Amount: Merit-based award of $425 for one semester based on a combination of academic achievement and co-curricular involvement.

Celebrate the Wins Scholarship

The Celebrate the Wins Scholarship is designed to retain non-traditional students beyond their first semester. To recognize your commitment to continuing your education, we want to celebrate your win for successfully completing your first fall semester by awarding you a one-time scholarship of up to $325 for your subsequent spring classes

Student must:

  • Be an incoming degree-seeking first-time-in-college student for Fall Term.
  • Be over the age of 25.
  • Submit FASFA form and demonstrate financial need.
  • Enroll in a minimum of six credit hours for the Fall Term.
  • Complete the Fall Term maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0, and complete a minimum of 50 percent of your courses (not withdrawing or failing).

Award Amount: Up to $325, one time, to be used for subsequent spring classes. Scholarships are limited, so recipients who meet the above criteria will be chosen on first come, first served basis.
