To help students prepare for Spring Term final exams and projects, the Seminole State Library will offer Finals Extended Hours starting April 21 at the Sanford/Lake Mary Campus. The campus library will be open 7:30 a.m. – 11 p.m. Monday-Thursday, April 21-24 and 28-May 1.
Students will have more time to access study areas, computer labs, netbooks (for use in the library only) and free Wi-Fi. Other library resources such as reserve items, reference materials, copiers and printers also will be available for use.
During these extended hours, librarians and other library staff will be on hand to provide reference and research assistance for students.
Offering extended hours during finals week is a response to student and faculty requests. The library piloted this extended-hours idea during Spring 2013 finals and found that students used the spaces and study resources, and engaged with librarians and staff during these extra hours.
