Three outstanding GED students were presented scholarships to continue their education at Seminole State College of Florida during the School of Academic Foundations Graduation on Thursday, April 26.
The winners were:
A total of $4,000 was given to the recipients. The scholarships were funded by donations to the Foundation for Seminole State College and allow the students to transition from the GED program to Seminole State’s college-level degree programs.
Seminole State’s GED Prep program is available at sites throughout Seminole County. Admission is offered year-round to students who are 18 years of age or older. For more information, please call 407.708.2153.
Publicly launched in February 2015, the Foundation’s comprehensive campaign’s goal was $12 million. With Florida Hospital’s commitment, the three year campaign concludes with $13.553 million raised to provide scholarships, student support services and student spaces.Read More »
