Bachelor's degree info. sessions set for summer

Seminole State President Dr. E. Ann McGee welcomes interior design students to their first baccalaureate class in January 2010.

Learn about Seminole State College's new bachelor's degree programs by attending an information session on the Oviedo, Altamonte Springs or Sanford/Lake Mary Campus.

Sessions are scheduled for:

  • Wednesday, May 25; 5:30-7 p.m.; Oviedo Campus; Student Success Services (building OVF)
  • Tuesday, June 28; 6-7:30 p.m.; Altamonte Springs Campus; location TBA
  • Monday, July 25; 6-7:30 p.m.; Sanford/Lake Mary Campus; Partnership Center (building UP)

The sessions, designed to help prospective students make a seamless transition into one of Seminole State's four-year programs, will focus on the College's Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degrees in Architectural Engineering Technology, Business Information Management, Construction and Information Systems Technology as well as its Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.S.) degree in Interior Design.

What to expect:

  • Faculty from each of the five bachelor's degree programs will lead question-and-answer sessions.
  • Admissions baccalaureate specialists will answer questions and walk students through the application process. Prospective students will be able to submit their applications during the event.
  • Financial aid representatives will answer questions about loan, grant and scholarship opportunities.

Seminole State's B.S. degrees will launch in January 2012, pending approval from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). The B.A.S. in Interior Design, the College's first four-year program, began in January 2010.

The Fall 2011 priority application deadline for the B.A.S. in Interior Design is June 15. The Spring 2012 priority application deadline for all bachelor's degree programs is Oct. 15. For more information, visit the bachelor's degrees website or call 407.708.2106.
