Seminole State College of Florida has won a regional award for an interactive recruitment video.
The video project, which was sent to Seminole County high school seniors using a mailed invitation and a personal Web address, won the bronze award at the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) District 2 Medallion Awards. The category was in Electronic Media – Innovation in Technology.
Staff from College Relations and Marketing (CRM), Computing and Telecommunications Services (CTS) and Admissions collaborated on the project.
The Medallion Awards honor excellence among marketing and public relations professionals at state and community colleges. This year's winners were announced at the fall district conference in Miami on Nov. 8. Seminole State competed against colleges from 10 Southeastern states.
Saturday, June 9, at Orlando City Hall, as part of an ongoing effort to honor those whose lives were lost in the Pulse nightclub tragedy, The 49 Fund at Central Florida Foundation awarded Seminole State College of Florida student Courtney Ring a scholarship in the amount of $4,900, for her leadership, academic excellence and commitment to serving the community.Read More »
