Seminole State College of Florida's president search committee, assisted by AGB Search, today selected 8 semifinalists vying to become the College’s third president to replace Dr. E. Ann McGee.
The semifinalists in alphabetical order are:
The search committee is led by committee chair Rick Lee, former trustee, Seminole State College, and current president, Citizens Bank of Florida. Also on the committee is the current chair of the District Board of Trustees, Wendy Brandon, CEO of Central Florida Regional Hospital; plus representatives from administration, faculty, staff, students, alumni and the community.
“We are impressed with the quality and diversity of the candidates Seminole State has attracted for this opportunity,” Lee said. “We look forward to meeting the semifinalists to learn more about their backgrounds, experience and vision for the College.”
Semifinalists will be interviewed by the president search committee on Seminole State College’s Heathrow Campus on March 21 and 22. Following semifinalist interviews, the search committee is expected to narrow the field to approximately four to six finalists. Finalists will be invited to the Sanford/Lake Mary Campus for two days of on-campus interviews on April 9 and 10. On April 9, faculty, staff, students, alumni, Foundation Board and community members will have the opportunity to interact with each of the candidates during group sessions and an evening social event. Finalists will be interviewed by the College’s Board of Trustees on April 10.
As Seminole State searches for its next president, members of the College community, partners and the community at large are welcome to follow the process. Full details regarding the search firm, search committee, candidates and timeline may be found online at www.seminolestate.edu/president-search.
