Seminole State College of Florida's Library, Assessment and Testing Center and Academic Success Center will offer extended hours in November-December to help students who may need more time to prepare for Fall Term final exams and projects.
The Sanford/Lake Mary Campus Library will be open two extra hours, until 11 p.m., Nov. 27 -30 and Dec. 4-7. During this time, library staff will be on hand to provide reference and research assistance. Students will have access to study areas, computer labs, free Wi-Fi, reserve items, copiers and printers. Students also can check out study tools such as calculators, headphones and whiteboard markers and erasers.
Students, staff and faculty may reserve study rooms at the Sanford/Lake Mary Library up to one week in advance. Study rooms provide space for up to 10 people.
The Assessment and Testing centers on the Altamonte Springs and Oviedo campuses, as well as the Testing Center (D-108) on the Sanford/Lake Mary Campus, also will offer extended hours to serve students and faculty during final exams. The offices will remain open until 8 p.m. Dec. 4-7. The Sanford/Lake Mary Testing Center in D-108 will also be open until 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9. During Finals Week, students could experience longer than normal wait times.
To help students prepare for exams in various subjects during Finals Week, the Academic Success Center (ASC) on the Altamonte Springs, Oviedo and Sanford/Lake Mary campuses will extend its hours Nov. 27-30 and Dec. 4-7. The ASC offers tutoring services for math, English/writing, science, accounting and Spanish. Students can also use study tools and other resources available in the center. Hours will vary by subject and day, so be sure to call the ASC at 407.708.2102 for the most current schedule.
