Board of Trustees elects new leaders

SCC's District Board of Trustees has elected Lisa Michelle Greer its chair and Scott Howat its vice chair for the 2009-10 fiscal year.
 
Greer, who served as vice chair during the 2007-08 and 2008-09 fiscal years, was appointed to the Board of Trustees in April 2007. She is the chief financial officer of the National Hospitality Training Institute and is actively involved with civic organizations such as the Oviedo Women's Club.
 
Howat, a Board member since August 2007, has nearly 20 years of education experience. He serves as the director of legislative and congressional relations for Orange County Public Schools.
 
The two were elected during the Board of Trustees meeting on Monday, July 20.
