Students enrolling in the Fall semester at Seminole State College of Florida were treated to a fun-filled day Tuesday, June 21. Enroll & Go! was held at all four campuses.
Academic advisors, financial aid specialists and other College representatives were on every campus to help students register for Fall classes and to answer questions.
Orlando City Soccer Club (OCSC) took part in the day’s activities. Seminole State is the Official and Exclusive College and University Education Partner of Orlando City SC, the Orlando Pride and Orlando City Youth Soccer.
Orlando City Defender Rafael Ramos visited the Sanford/Lake Mary Campus, signing autographs and taking photos with students. The Kickin’ Cruiser, a Lions-crested truck fitted with gaming and entertainment experiences also provided lots of fun for students.
"Today was the first day of registration and we wanted to make it fun for the students and it was great having Orlando City’s Rafael Ramos on campus," says Pamela Mennechey, associate vice president of student recruitment and enrollment.
The Lions' mascot, Kingston, joined Seminole State mascot, Rally the Raider, on campus. They both spent the day playing games and taking photos with students.
The OCSC Street Team visited the Altamonte Springs Campus with lots of Orlando City giveaways, along with Power 95.3 who spun the tunes all afternoon.
At the Oviedo and Heathrow campuses there were free refreshments and OCSC giveaways.
Drawings were held for Orlando City and Orlando Pride tickets as well as for two $500 gift cards.
