Plan your next step at transfer and career fairs

More than 50 employers will be on hand during Seminole State's Career Fair on Thursday, Nov. 12, at the Sanford/Lake Mary Campus. 

Planning your next steps after graduation or looking for a new career opportunity? The Career Development Center at Seminole State College of Florida is hosting free events to help students and job seekers explore education and career options.

Transfer Fair

Recruiters from several colleges and universities will be available to present educational opportunities to students who are planning to continue to a bachelor's degree or beyond. Students who attend will learn about degree programs, the transfer process and possible career paths.

The following are among the colleges and universities expected to attend:

  • Adventist University of Health Sciences
  • Florida Southern College
  • Lynn University
  • Rollins College
  • Seminole State College of Florida Baccalaureate Office
  • Stetson University
  • University of Florida
  • University of Central Florida

The Transfer Fair will take place on Seminole State's Oviedo Campus (Patio) on Wednesday, Nov. 4, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Career Fair

Seminole State's Career Fair will feature more than 50 employers from various fields. Students and other job seekers can find employment and internship opportunities and explore careers.

The Career Fair is set for Thursday, Nov. 12, from 10 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the Sanford/Lake Mary Campus Student Center (building C).

The list of participating employers includes:

  • Altamonte Springs Police Department
  • Bright House Networks
  • Florida Hospital
  • HGR Construction, Inc.
  • Hilton Grand Vacations
  • Liberty Mutual
  • Seminole County Sheriff’s Office
  • Travelers Insurance
  • United Postal Service
  • YMCA of Central Florida

The Career Fair coincides with National Career Development Month and is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to dress professionally and bring several copies of their résumé.
