In the wake of a historic season for Raider Athletics, Seminole State College of Florida student-athletes have received national, state and conference recognition for their outstanding performance on the field and in the classroom during the 2014-15 season.
In total, 19 Raider athletes earned first-team, second-team, third-team or honorable mention distinction across the three sports in which Seminole State competes – baseball, softball and women’s golf. Nine athletes received All-America honors, and five were recognized statewide by the Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA).

Adkins and freshman Morgan Williams were named NJCAA Softball Pitcher of the Week in consecutive weeks April 13-19 and April 20-26. Adkins and Williams both were named statewide Pitcher of the Week twice this season, and freshman Heather Roberts was the statewide Player of the Week two times.
The Raider women’s golf team placed three golfers in the top five at the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Women’s National Championship Tournament, and all five Raiders placed in the top 15 to earn All-America honors. All five golfers also finished the season ranked in the top 15 nationally in terms of stroke count average.
The Raiders performed just as well off the field as on it during the 2014-15 academic year. Stephanie Adkins, Cailey Chevrier, Samantha Forsberg, Caitlin Huiting and Abbie Millete earned nationwide recognition from the NJCAA for their academic performances, and a total of 19 student-athletes earned All-Academic Team honors at the state level.
Team highlights of the 2014-15 season included the women’s golf team’s first national championship and the softball team’s program-best 51-9 season record.
