Seminole State College of Florida has partnered with mtvU to provide programming designed specifically for college students.
As part of the agreement, the College now has added widescreen mtvU TVs in the Student Center on the Sanford/Lake Mary Campus, and mtvU is providing its TVs at no cost to the College. The mtvU channel also will be included on the College's cable channel. In addition to mtvU programming, the TVs will display college-specific messages.
With Seminole State as an mtvU partner college, students also now qualify for mtvU Grants, internships and other opportunities. In partnership with Youth Venture, mtvU Grants awards students and groups that propose compelling and sustainable social entrepreneurship projects with up to $1,000.
The Office of Student Life also will give students a chance to win mtvU and cash prizes during its Black History Month trivia event on Feb. 11 from noon-2 p.m. in the Student Center.
Broadcasting to nearly 750 college campuses across the country, mtvU is the largest, most comprehensive television network just for college students. For more information about mtvU, and a complete programming schedule, visit www.mtvU.com.
