Seminole State College of Florida's College Relations and Marketing Department has won a series of awards for communications and marketing projects in regional and district competitions, including top honors for TV commercials, a microsite and photography.
The College's Go State. Go Far. commercials earned a gold award in the Video Advertisement/PSA Series category, and a Web project geared toward prospective students earned gold for microsites at the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) District 2 Medallion Awards. The Medallion Awards honors excellence among marketing and public relations professionals at state and community colleges. This year's winners were announced at the fall district conference in Nashville, Tennessee, Oct. 26-29. Seminole State competed against colleges from 10 Southeastern states.
A series of "Go State. Go Far." commercials also won second place in the Advertising - TV category of the Association of Florida Colleges’ (AFC) Communications and Marketing Commission Awards.
Photography in the College's admissions and student-workshop booklets took first place in its category at the AFC 65th annual convention in Destin, held Oct. 29-31. The College also won these awards:
The AFC awards recognize outstanding achievement among Florida college marketing and public relations professionals. The AFC represents Florida’s 28 state and community colleges.
