More than 2,800 degrees and certificates were awarded during Seminole State College of Florida’s Fall 2018 Collegewide Commencement on Wednesday, Dec. 12, at the University of Central Florida’s CFE Arena.

This commencement was Dr. Georgia Lorenz’s first as president of Seminole State. To commemorate the occasion, she delivered the keynote address telling graduates as they begin their careers to care about their work. “Commit and bring your best self to the task, every task, every day. People will take notice. You will stand head and shoulders above the rest. Wherever you are, be all there,” said Dr. Lorenz.

Among the graduates this fall were 191 baccalaureate students representing six of Seminole State's four-year degree programs. Bachelor’s degrees were awarded in Business and Information Management, Construction, Engineering Technology, Health Sciences, Information Systems Technology, and Interior Design.

Seminole State offers a total of seven bachelor’s degrees, including its new RN-to-BSN (Nursing) degree which enrolled its first class this past spring.
