Cheryl Knodel, program manager and professor in the College's Interior Design Program, is passionate about her subject. With more than 20 years of experience as an interior designer, she's an example of the "scholar-practitioner" model of teaching at Seminole State. Her interest in sustainable design and construction led her to develop an introductory course on the subject.
Her passion is contagious; students love the class and decided to form The Emerging Green Builders of Seminole State, a student chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council. Professor Knodel serves as the advisor. She's taking her enthusiasm for green to the next level with a project-oriented class for students in Seminole State's new Bachelor of Applied Science in Interior Design program.
