Academic Activities and Events

Below are some of the amazing academic activities and programs available for Seminole State students!

Grindle Honors Institute

The Grindle Honors Institute offers programs for students who want to enrich their academic experience and engage in honors activities.

Skills Sessions Workshops

Skill Sessions are free workshops that cover everything from stress management and test-taking anxiety to writing cover letters and resumes.  Check out the sessions available each semester.

Study Abroad

Expand your worldview and learn about other cultures! Each Study Abroad trip has its own unique academic focus and is accompanied by an optional three-credit course.

Book Clubs

Participate in a book club discussion. Book readings and topics vary each term, and some may coincide with a specific major. Book clubs are offered through Seminole State's Read to Succeed initiative, part of the College's Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) to create a culture of reading.
