Steps to attend the Fire Academy

Determine your path for eligibility for the Fire Academy:

  1. For students new to Public Safety, click here to attend one mandatory EMT info session to learn about the combined Fire/EMT program.
  2. If you have previously completed an EMT or Paramedic Program, attend one mandatory Fire Academy information session (Dates listed below; no registration required):

  • Submit your completed application (provided at infomation session).
  • If accepted, attend the mandatory orientation session.

Seminole State's Fire Academy information sessions:

  • Introduce you to the programs, application process and selection criteria used to evaluate students
  • Allow you to ask questions and participate in informative discussions
  • Explain the application process and procedures for entering the program of your choice
