Steps to attend the Fire Academy

Determine your path for eligibility for the Fire Academy:

  1. For students new to Public Safety, register for one mandatory EMT info session to learn about the combined Fire/EMT program.
  2. If you have previously completed an EMT or Paramedic Program or currently attending and EMT program, you must attend one mandatory Fire Academy information session (Dates listed below; no registration required)
  3. Obtain an application at the info session and submit completed application (Invitations to the required orientation session will be based on date of submitted application with all ties based on previous training and/or GPA)

  • Explain the application process and procedures for entering the program of your choice
