Canvas
Canvas is the learning management system for Seminole Online. It's the same next-generation learning system used by more than 1,200 colleges and universities nationwide.
All online courses are administered through Canvas, though some have mandatory on-campus orientations and/or proctored tests for midterms and finals. To locate orientation and exam information, use the "Class Details" link in MySeminoleState, or select your class from the online classes listing
Minimum Computer System Requirements
While these are the basic system requirements for Canvas, your particular course may use software with higher computer requirements. Contact your faculty members for specific computer requirements for their courses.

Logging in to Canvas
To access Canvas, go to online.seminolestate.edu and log in. After logging in, you will see your course(s) on your dashboard. If your course is not on your dashboard, click "Courses > All courses" to find your course.
Be sure to log in as soon as the term begins. You will not be able to access your course prior to the first day of the term. If you register during the add/drop period, there may be a slight delay (up to one business day) in the activation of your Canvas user ID and password. Instructors can drop a student from their class if the student fails to log in to Canvas by the end of the add/drop period.

Canvas Student Tour
We recommend taking the Canvas Student Tour to familiarize yourself with the Canvas tools you may use in your course. The Canvas Student Tour opens to a course in Canvas.
Canvas Help
Canvas Help is available for all Seminole State students, faculty and staff 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Canvas Help is provided through resources like Canvas Guides, online chat and the Canvas Support Hotline at 855.981.8103. To access Canvas Help online, see Getting Help with Canvas.
