  • All educational forums take place at Sanford/Lake Mary from 2:30-3:45 p.m. unless noted otherwise.
  • Students must attend a minimum of five educational workshops.

HealthcareHealthcare & Balance of Public Health Feb. 14 in S/LM PS 110Feb. 17 - Give Kids the World from 7:30-10:30 a.m. Volunteers will work help kids with life-threatening illness to find hope and have fun.
Human RightsDismantling Anti-Blackness: A Mindful Practice       Feb. 28 in S/LM PS 110March 1 & 2 - Habitat for Humanity from 7:30 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. Volunteers will be participating in a 2 day service event in Jacksonville, FL. Day 1 will include volunteering at the HabiJax ReStore and Day 2 will include volunteering at a Build Site.  
LGBT + EqualityUnder the Umbrella: Understanding LGBT+ Youth in Today's Society March 14 in S/LM PS 110March 15 - Zebra Coalition from 3:00-5:00 p.m.
Volunteers will participate in an interactive activity with the youth, tour the safe house, and learn of the services offered.
EducationEducation Equality Discussion March 21 in S/LM PS 110March 30 - GROW Central Florida from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. Volunteers will be participating in a playground revitalization project.  
EnvironmentalEnvironmental Justice at Lake Apopka Farms April 4 in S/LM PS 110April 6 - Farm Workers Association from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Volunteers will help develop a community garden and learn about the lives of migrant workers.
Human RightsSexual Assault Awareness & Prevention April 18 in S/LM PS 110

April 20 - Love Missions Time from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Volunteers will pack kits for survivors of human trafficking.

Civic Scholars Recognition CeremonyApril 25 in S/LM PS 110Join us to celebrate your completion in the program. At the ceremony, you will present your capstone project and receive your certificate of completion.
