This is an advanced/specialized training course for law enforcement or corrections officers. Courses in the Advanced Training Program are designed to enhance an officer's knowledge, skills, and abilities for the job he or she performs. In this 16-hour course, the student will understand the advantages of the Precision Immobilization Technique, preferred and non-preferred locations to conduct a P.I.T., steps to executing a proper P.I.T. , and circumstances under which a P.I.T. may and may not be utilized.
