LEO0472 Transient Offenders Workshop

This advanced course is a 24-hour course covering the introduction to and investigation of transient offenders as it relates to specialized crimes such as scams, cons, alien offender crimes, and non-violent crimes committed by those who specialize in targeting the elderly. This course is best suited for patrol officers, community-based police officers, crime prevention officers, white collar crime investigators, burglary investigators, rookie first line supervisors, and patrol supervisors. This course will be presented by the 2004-2005 Vice President of the National Association of Bunco Investigators Inc, whose purpose is to investigate, identify, and share intelligence regarding transient offenders. The presenter has approximately 10 years experience in the investigation and research of transient-type offenders and has taught the subject matter on a national level. This course will be supported by handout material and photographs of active perpetrators.
