LEO0469 Front Wheel Drive Police Vehicle Training

This course identifies basic differences in the handling characteristics of a front wheel drive police vehicle versus a rear wheel drive police vehicle. Participants will be required to perform various driving exercises/maneuvers that are designed to emphasize these differences and to enhance the driver's skill level while operating a front wheel drive vehicle. This is not an instructor certification course. Participants should drive a front wheel drive vehicle to this training; one will not be provided. Students should have successfully completed the Basic Police Academy or have been exempted and possess sufficient experience and background to meet the standard core of knowledge. Students successfully completing this course are eligible for meeting mandatory retraining requirements.
