SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER COURSE #090 DATE: July 15-22, 2024 HOURS: 40 (week 1 Monday-Thursday/week 2 Monday) 8:00am-5:00pm FEE: Trust Fund (Seminole Region officers have seat priority) LOCATION: Seminole State College – Sanford/Lake Mary campus COURSE: LEO/0349 INSTRUCTOR: Mike Hawkins This course is part of the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission Advanced Training Program. Courses in the Advanced Training Program are designed to enhance an officer’s knowledge, skills, and abilities for job performance. Students must pass an end-of-course examination with a minimum score of 80%. Topics covered will include: • Juvenile Law • Ways to communicate with students • Class instruction techniques Enrollment is limited to 40. Seat Priority goes to officers of Seminole County.
