LEO0331 Hostage Negotiations

This is a Florida Department of Law Enforcement Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission's approved Advanced Training Course. This 40-hour block of instruction will address the issues involved in the complicated and extremely volatile situations involving hostages and barricaded subjects. Topics include the dynamics of hostage negotiations, communication skills, tactical role of the negotiator, and practical exercises. This course will satisfy mandatory retraining requirements or salary incentive.
