The Seminole State softball team volunteered at Goldsboro Elementary School on Jan. 28, 2011, where they read with K-5 students and assisted teachers in the classroom.

Journey's End Animal Sanctuary

The Lady Raiders visited Journey's End Animal Sanctuary in DeLand on Nov. 24, 2009, where they donated pet toys and spent time with abused, abandoned and special-needs pets. The nonprofit organization provides lifetime care and a safe, comfortable environment for mistreated dogs, cats, horses, pigs, sheep and birds.

Seminole Softball Youth League Clinic

In January 2009, the Raider softball team hosted a free clinic for the Seminole Softball Youth League, which helped players advance their skills and improve their techniques. More than 60 athletes and coaches participated in the two-day event.

"Splash into Science!" Elementary School Science Night

On Sept. 29, 2008, the Lady Raiders softball and golf teams traveled to Walker Elementary School in Chuluota for an educational festival for children and their families. While there, the student-athletes helped participants complete a variety of science-related projects and activities.

"Pink" Game

The Lady Raiders softball team hosted a special "pink" doubleheader against Polk Community College on April 19, 2008. The games, which helped raise more than $2,000 for the Florida Hospital Women’s Cancer Center, were part of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association for StrikeOut Cancer initiative.
