Dr. Tina Calderone, Trustee
Dr. Tina Calderone was appointed by Governor Rick Scott for a term beginning Sept. 6, 2018 and ending May 31, 2022.
Dr. Calderone was elected to the Seminole County School Board in November 2010 and has served continually since that time, including three terms as chair. Dr. Calderone earned her Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Elementary Education from Central Connecticut State University. She then went on to receive a master’s in educational administration and doctorate in educational leadership from the University of Florida.
Her diverse background includes elements of education, marketing, sales, public relations, fundraising and training. She has held management positions at two national corporations, the Kirchman Corp. and Newtrend, where she founded and led their training departments, and later served as a regional vice president of sales. Dr. Calderone was also college administrator for Stetson University and the University of Florida, and an adjunct faculty member for both Seminole State and University of Central Florida.
Additionally, Dr. Calderone served as the executive director of The Foundation for Seminole County Public Schools, the business manager for DeBary Dental and then the community relations manager for Lake Mary Life, Oviedo Winter Springs Life and Wekiva Springs Life magazines.
Tina and her husband have been residents of Seminole County since 1989 and are the proud parents of two grown children.
