The High School Competency Test (HSCT)

The HSCT:

  • Is a State of Florida-required exam; and
  • Must be passed to graduate from high school.

Florida has adopted a standard skill level for all students from high school. The HSCT determines whether you meet, exceed or fall below the standard level. If you fail the exam, you cannot receive a high school diploma.

Who should take the HSCT?

If you are enrolled in Seminole State's Adult High School, you must take the HSCT before you can graduate.

Where can I take the HSCT?

Seminole State is an HSCT testing center. You may take the exam at the College's Assessment and Testing Center.
