Kenne NooneKenna Noone teaches psychology and anthropology. She is the coordinator of The Mexican Studies Program and her academic interests involve the Maya of Mexico and cross-cultural concerns. She was a recipient of the 2000 National Endowment of The Humanities Scholar's Travel Award to study in the Maya World. She was an Official Observer for the 2001 Mexican presidential elections. She is a member of the American Anthropological Association; a board member of Casa de Mexico, the cultural arm of The Consulate of Mexico, and a board member of Global Connections. In 2002, Kenna was asked by The University of Quintana Roo, Mexico, to participate in designing the organization and superstructure of a research center in Tulum, Quintana Roo, Mexico. She is currently working on a project concerning cultural changes among the Maya in the Yucatan. Kenna earned her BA at Georgia State University, an MS at the University of Central Florida, and another MS from Florida State University. She has an unfinished masters from the Universidad Autonoma de Yucatan, and is currently enrolled in the UCF Maya Studies certificate program. |
