Portions of Weldon Boulevard closed permanently

As of May 2, 2008, an 800-foot section of Weldon Boulevard on Seminole State College’s Sanford/Lake Mary Campus was closed permanently for construction on the $33 million Partnership Center.

The portion of Weldon Boulevard affected starts near the Health Building (Building H) and continues through south of the A Building. The entire visitor and faculty/staff parking lot next to A Building is also closed.

Construction is commencing on a south loop road that will again link the east and west sides of the Campus. Until construction is complete, visitors to Seminole State should note:

• The shortcut to U.S. 17-92 via Weldon Boulevard is no longer available. Drivers should take College Drive to West County Home Road to access U.S. 17-92. Click here for a full-size .pdf map of the road closure and detour routes.
• Detour and directional signs are prominently displayed throughout the Campus.

From Lake Mary Boulevard:

• To access the west side of Campus, including the Building A, drivers should take College Drive, turn right on Campus Lane and follow the loop road to Weldon Boulevard.
• The route to the east side of campus, including B, H, D and M Buildings, is unchanged.

From U.S. 17-92:

• To access the east side of Campus (Buildings B, H, D and M), take West County Home Road to Weldon Boulevard.
• To access the west side of Campus, including Building A, take Weldon Boulevard to Main Road.
