Seminole State College
Did you know...Seminole State's tuition is nearly half that of Florida's state universities.
Fines and Appeals
Students, faculty and staff who violate the College's parking rules and regulations will be fined in accordance with the violation, towed at the owner's expense and/or subject to other penalties as set forth by the College's District Board of Trustees. All fines must be paid in person at any campus Business/Cashiers Office within 10 business days of posting.
Seminole State fines are $10 per citation, unless otherwise specified.
* Motorists who unlawfully park in an ADA-accessible parking space or any other area restricted by law may also be subject to a state-assessed fine if the citation is issued by a law enforcement officer.
Appealing a Citation
If you receive a parking citation that you feel is unjust, you may initiate an appeal by completing the Parking Citation Appeal Form. To be reviewed, appeals must be submitted to the Safety and Security Office within 10 business days of the receipt of the citation.
For more information on the appeals process, visit the Appealing a Citation Web page.
Penalties for Non-Payment
Students who fail to pay their fines within 10 business days will have a hold placed on their student records, diplomas, transcripts, certificates and future course registrations. Holds will be lifted when all fines are paid in full.
After three unpaid violations, vehicles may be towed from campus at the owner's expense.
Faculty and Staff
Faculty and staff members with three or more unpaid parking violations may be subject to disciplinary action from their supervisor or department head. They may also have their vehicle towed from campus at the owner's expense.
