![]() AP ChemistryThe AP Chemistry Institute, now in its 16th year at Seminole State College, has received excellent evaluations from former participants. This year's instructors will be Jim Cortez, from The Bolles School in Jacksonville, and Dr. Janice Kadis, a professor at Seminole State. AP Chemistry teachers of all experience levels are welcome to attend. More than half of the sessions will be combined, allowing participants to become acquainted and share ideas. The rest of the sessions are designed to meet the special needs of the new or experienced teacher. Experienced teachers will have time to explore new laboratories and brush up on some advanced topics. Some laboratory work will be done with the LabPro interface units. Problem solving, demonstrations and AP laboratories are included. Homework will be assigned. Highlights of the class include the opportunity to meet other AP Chemistry teachers and learn and share ideas about teaching chemistry. |
