AP Biology

The popular AP Biology component of the AP Institute, now in its fourth year at Seminole State, has received high marks from participants. This year's session will be led by Dennis Bulge, an experienced AP Biology instructor, grader and workshop leader from Trinity Preparatory School in Winter Park.

The AP Biology workshop is designed to help AP Biology teachers design a representative program that meets their individual needs. Special attention will be given to:

• Performing and evaluating the 12 required laboratory exercises.
• Gaining insight into the design and grading of the AP Biology exam's multiple-choice and free response portions.
• Exchanging and discussing various techniques for presenting content.
• Student, teacher and text selection.
• Discussing time requirements and constraints.

The AP audit will also be discussed, and participants' concerns will be addressed.
