Student Government Association at the Oviedo CampusTake the Challenge
SGA Meetings are held on Tuesdays at 12:30 p.m. in OVF-108. All Seminole State college-credit and career programs students are welcome to attend. During weekly meetings, SGA deals with student issues and concerns; discusses state legislative issues; budgets money to clubs and organizations; and plans Thursday student activities. SGA's Mission: The purpose of the SGA is to provide Seminole State students with a representative form of government, so, acting in unison, the SGA may promote, regulate and coordinate activities that may impact the entire community, and help the College create a learning environment inside and outside the classroom that increases the chances that students will succeed at Seminole State. SGA Membership: All college-credit and career programs students who are currently enrolled in courses at Seminole State are members of SGA. All activities and meetings sponsored by SGA are open to any Seminole State student who wishes to attend. SGA Elected Officers: The elected officers of the SGA are the president, vice president and secretary/treasurer. The SGA president appoints committee chairs to conduct the Association's business. The appointed positions are the activities board, marketing, community service committee and multicultural affairs chairs.
