Leadership Retreats

Leadership Institute Retreat Application: Sept. 28, 2012

Dear Student,

The Leadership Institute will be an exciting one-day event offering team-building exercises and a series of seminars on personal development.

The program will take place from 9 a.m.-6 p.m on Friday, Sept. 28. Please plan to arrive promptly by 9 a.m. and note that breakfast will not be provided. Your lunch and other materials necessary for the retreat will be supplied by the retreat staff. The lunch typically provided is pizza. If you have specific dietary needs (other than a vegetarian meal), food will be available to purchase from Nature’s Table Cafe.

To apply, you must:

  • Be enrolled in a baccalaureate, associate, certificate or applied technology diploma program at Seminole State College this term
  • Have a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher at Seminole State if you are a returning student
  • Be motivated to learn and willing to lead

Here are a few rules you will be expected to follow while at the retreat, by which you agree to abide as a condition of your participation in the Leadership Institute:

  1. Attendance at all sessions, including lunch and activities, is mandatory.
  2. Possessing or using alcohol or illegal drugs is strictly prohibited.
  3. No participant may leave the retreat without express permission.
  4. No personal visitors are permitted during the retreat.

If you are interested in participating in the Leadership Institute, you must submit your online application at least one week prior to the retreat date.

Advanced Leaders (Returning Institute Participants)

For the areas of your life that require more of your time and energy, what specifically could you do to ensure that you put 100 percent effort into them in the future?
