Admission Requirements
To enter Seminole State's Respiratory Care Program, students must complete the following steps and meet the following criteria:

- Complete a Seminole State application online. If you prefer, you can print the Seminole State application for admission; obtain one from the Seminole State Admissions Office; or request that one be sent to you by calling 407.708.2050.
- Complete a Respiratory Care Program application.
- Earn a high school diploma or GED.
- Take the College Placement Test (CPT).
- Possess at least an intermediate algebra skill level.
- Have grades of "C" or higher in Anatomy and Physiology I (BSC 2093C), as well as English I (ENC 1101).

- Submit to a background check. All students entering a healthcare program with a clinical component will be required to complete a criminal background check. Students must be free of offenses that could potentially disqualify them from working in a healthcare environment (Florida Statute 400.211). Admission into clinicals is at the discretion of the clinical agencies.
College counselors are available to assist students with the admission process. Students must attend a mandatory information session as part of the application process.
Application Deadlines
- New Students: May 1-31 (Applications received after May 31 will still be accepted, but admission will only be granted on a space-available basis.)
- Transition Students who are Certified Respiratory Therapists: Jan. 1
