Read to Succeed Technology

Part of our Quality Enhancement Plan is promoting the use of reading technology. The following are some examples of what we are doing.

eReaders

There are eReaders at the Library waiting for you to check them out!

Come to the Seminole State Library and check out one of the Nooks or Kindles with pre-loaded titles ready for you to read! Titles include popular leisure, classic literature and titles requested to support curriculum at the College. See a full list of book titles here. The loan period for eReaders is two weeks.

Note: Terms of loan include on-time return or a late fee of $5 per day (not to exceed $35). Service charges to replace an eReader include the cost of the item plus a $15 service charge.

eBooks

The Library offers more than 46,000 eBook titles, which students can access via the online library catalog with their library login.

These titles are generally intended for student research and to use as scholarly sources for assignments and other citation-required assignments that support the curriculum in a focused way.

Coming Soon

We are working on greater availability of eTexts within classrooms, electronic book clubs and Web broadcasts. Keep an eye open for these opportunities. Our home page and Facebook page are good places to get updates.
