Project Management Program

Post-baccalaureate Certificate of Professional Preparation

Seminole State’s Post-baccalaureate Certificate of Professional Preparation in Project Management is an online program. Students can easily finish the five-course program in two semesters by accessing their coursework any day of the week. This Seminole State certificate offers the ultimate flexibility for the working professional in any location.

The program is designed to provide a comprehensive theory-to-application approach to project management. The certificate has two primary purposes:

  • To further develop students' project management knowledge, skills and tool kit
  • To develop practical applications for success in the workplace

This theory-to-practice model is achieved through a five-course sequence, combining lectures, reading, case study and project simulations. Students will take the following courses:

  • Leading Project Teams
  • Project Planning
  • Project Quality and Risk Management
  • Applied Project Management
  • Project Financial Analysis

Students who are certified Project Management Professionals (PMP) under the Project Management Institute's (PMI) continuing certification requirements can fulfill their Professional Development Units (PDUs) using the Seminole State Project Management Certficate of Professional Preparation. Each of the five courses will allow for 20 PDUs in the Education category.

Students who are a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) through the Project Management Institute (PMI) are required to take a recertification exam every five years. Enrolling in the Seminole State Project Management Certificate of Professional Preparation will help reinforce PMI's common body of knowledge.
