Policy

  1. It is the policy of the District Board of Trustees that all campuses and centers of the College shall be designated as non-smoking areas. In the interest of the health and welfare of students, employees and the public, smoking is not permitted anywhere on College campuses and centers, except in designated smoking areas. Smoking shall not be permitted in any other area of campus buildings or premises, or in any vehicle the College owns, hires, or leases.
  2. Smoking on College campuses and centers shall be restricted to those marked areas specifically designated by the College as smoking areas. All other smoking in and on College campuses and centers is expressly prohibited. Students, faculty and staff shall be subject to appropriate disciplinary action for violations of this policy.
  3. The President shall cause a procedure to be developed to implement this policy.
