Dr. Vera Overbay Memorial Nursing Scholarship

Second-year nursing students at Seminole State College of Florida who graduated from Winter Springs High School may be eligible to receive the Dr. Vera Overbay Memorial Nursing Scholarship.

Amount

This scholarship's award varies up to $1,000.

Application Process

• Write a letter of expressing interest, need and goals, addressed to the Nursing Scholarship Committee.
• Submit the letter with a copy of your transcript to Judith Laney in the Nursing Office.

Criteria for Selection

To be eligible for the Dr. Vera Overbay Memorial Nursing Scholarship, you must:

• Currently be enrolled as a second-year, A.S. degree-seeking student in Seminole State's Nursing Program
• Maintain a 3.0 GPA
• Show evidence of financial need
• Be a graduate of Winter Springs High School
• Be a resident of Seminole County

While it is not required, note that preference is given to employees of Central Florida Regional Hospital.
