![]() Minority Nurse ScholarshipFinancial assistance to help racial and ethnic minority nursing students fulfill their professional education goals is critically needed at all levels, from students in associate degree and diploma programs to PhD candidates. But many nursing educators agree that it is the BSN degree that opens the most doors of opportunity for students of color-doors to better jobs, graduate study and careers in research, academia, advanced practice and health care management. That's why Minority Nurse created an annual scholarship program designed specifically to help our student readers complete their studies leading to a baccalaureate degree. Eligibility:To apply for this scholarship, students must meet all four of the following criteria:
Amount:Minority Nurse will award two $1,000 scholarships and two $500 scholarships in 2003. Selections will be made by the editor of the magazine and its editorial advisory board. Scholarships will be paid in January 2004. Application Process:Please read carefully. Applications that do not include the required documentation will be disqualified.
