Ann Moore Scholarship

The Ann Moore Scholarship was established by Mr. Lee P. Moore in memory of his wife Ann Wiggins Moore, who died in 1990. Mr. Moore, a former Seminole State District Board of Trustees member, is an ongoing supporter of the College and contributed greatly to the construction of Seminole State's Ann Wiggins Moore Memorial Nursing Center.

Eligibility:

  • Open to students currently enrolled in the A.S. degree Nursing Program.
  • First- and second-year students may apply.

Amount:

Varies. The amount awarded is put into accounts in the Seminole State Business Office and Bookstore to be used for tuition and books.

Application Process:

Submit a letter addressed to the Scholarship Committee of the Associate Degree Nursing Program, which illustrates your interest in the scholarship, goals, financial need and grade point average.

Criteria for Selection:

  • Financial need
  • Clinical competency and academic performance
  • Professionalism

Application Deadline:

  • Friday, Oct. 30, 2009

Completed applications should be placed in Judy Laney's folder in the student area of the Nursing Office.
