Nursing Assistant Admission/Application Procedures

Seminole State will no longer offer the Nursing Assistant Program as of July 2014. Students who have these program plans are encouraged to visit with the career program advisors to determine other programs that meet their educational goals. The career program advisors can be reached at:

What Are the Nursing Assistant Admission Requirements?

All students entering a healthcare program with a clinical component will be required to complete a criminal background check. Students must be free of offenses that could potentially disqualify them from working in a healthcare environment (Florida Statute 400.211). Admission into clinicals is at the discretion of the clinical agencies.

Students must also:

  • Be at least 17 years old.
  • Complete the Seminole State application process.
  • Take the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE; no minimum score required).
  • Meet with an academic advisor/counselor.

How Can I Get Additional Information?

It is recommended that students visit an academic advisor or educational planner for guidance in course selection, sequencing and scheduling. Financial assistance and scholarship opportunities are available.

All services are free and available on all Seminole State campuses. The Seminole State College Catalog can be obtained in the Admissions Office or viewed at
