Seminole State College of Florida will test its emergency communication tools on Tuesday, Feb. 18, and Wednesday, Feb. 19, to provide critical information to students, staff and faculty members, family members and the public.
Seminole State will test its Emergency Alert Phone System at 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 18, and Wednesday, Feb. 19.
The timing of these tests is designed to familiarize day and evening students, faculty and staff with the system.
The phone test will last about 90 seconds.
Here's what to expect:
Those signed up for emergency texts through Alert Seminole should receive a test text message at 10:30 a.m. on Feb. 18. To sign up for emergency text messaging, visit Seminole State Alert.
From 10:30-11 a.m. and from 6:30-7p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 18, Seminole State will test its emergency website. A scrolling message will be seen at the top of nearly all College Web pages.
The hotline (407.708.2290) will be updated with information about the test.
