Register now for the 2012 Raider Run 5K

Participants line up for the start of the 2011 Raider Run. Nearly 100 runners participated, raising funds for Seminole State's Athletics Department.

Seminole State College is hosting the Raider Run 5K on Sunday, Nov. 4. The fun, family-friendly event will begin at 8 a.m. and take participants on a 3.1-mile loop around the College's Sanford/Lake Mary Campus.

General race pricing is:

  • $20 through Saturday, Oct. 27
  • $25 between Sunday, Oct. 28, and Saturday, Nov. 3
  • $30 day of race (cash or check only)

A $5 registration discount is available to Seminole State students, faculty and staff. To receive the special rate, complete the on-campus registration form, and return it to the Athletics Office in H-101 by Saturday, Oct. 27. Registration must be done in person to receive the discount. A valid College ID is required.

Regular registration is available on the Race Time Sports website.

The first 400 people to register will receive a moisture-wicking tech T-shirt. Shirts and shirt sizes are not guaranteed for day-of-race registration.

A free kids' fun run will be held at the conclusion of the 5K. Registration for this event will be available at the race site, starting at 7 a.m.

Proceeds from the Raider Run will benefit Seminole State athletic scholarships. For more information, please visit the Seminole State College 5K Web page.

Nearly 200 people participated in Seminole State's inaugural 5K event in March. The event raised more than $5,000 for athletic scholarships.
