Certifications are earned by passing certification exams, which measure your knowledge and abilities related to specific fields and products.

  • WLANSE (Wireless LAN for Systems Engineers)
  • SECUR (Securing Cisco ISO Networks)
  • CSPFA (Cisco Secure PIX Firewall Advanced)

As a student, you have two options for completing a certification program:

• Prepare for a certification exam while earning credit toward an Associate in Science (A.S.) degree
• Prepare for an exam as a non-degree-seeking student

The courses that Seminole State College provides as part of its professional certification programs are intended to help you prepare for a certification exam. You must pass the corresponding exam in order to earn a certification. Passing the courses does not guarantee that you will pass the exam.

Certification exams can be taken at Seminole State's Professional Testing and Certification Center.
